Ecumenical Centre for Justice and Peace ECJP is a Faith Based Non-Governmental Organization located in Gboko Benue State North Central Nigeria, it was established in 1996.VISION, Sustained Peace and security in Nigeria with the participation of all stakeholders for holistic development. MISSION promote peace, Security, and Justice, especially among the neglected rural-urban communities to enhance democratic principle and holistic development.
ECJP’s main program activities target, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Youths, Women, Men, People Living With HIV/AIDS, and People Affected by AIDS (PABAS). Also targets Most Risk Populations (MARPS), Returnees, and Displaced persons.
This unit offers a unique opportunity for people to study the theory and learn the skills of peace-building in a variety of settings. This unit has equipped people in the positive resolution of conflict whether the conflict is national, or church-related, in the workplace, community, or family.
The main focus of this unit is helping communities make changes that improve their quality of life. It is a strategy for peacebuilding as well as helping communities to alleviate their poverty.
